Activities
The activities we provide are developed to promote social understanding, creativity and communication skills. These include both activities in the centre and within the local community.
At Stapleford Abbotts Day Service we promote regular exercise. We also take our service users on carefully supervised outings which include both points of interest as well as walks to the local library, parks and the local community.
The activities that we offer allow service users access to any activity they have a preference for, no matter what their range of abilities. The activities we offer are 1:1 and group based sessions. We encourage service users to choose and try new activities that will allow them to explore the environment around them. All the activities that we offer can be tailored to the service user’s specific needs and preferences. We can also develop activities around the needs of the service user or the wishes of the parents/carers.
